James JJ Hairston is the Youthful Praise Choir Director. Under legendary Gospel Icons: Bishop J.C. White and Evangelist Gloria White. He worships at Turner's Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C., Int'l. in Bridgeport CT

A Brooklyn native, he attended Mt. Sinai Cathedral, C.O.G.I.C. which was pastured by his grandfather, although he first embarked on his Gospel music journey when encouraged by Shawn Brown: his friend. That was the start at which JJ served the Lord through song.  Hairston then took up writing his own material, resulting in many other acts requesting his talent.

Citing the likes of Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence, Richard Smallwood and James Hall as songwriting influences; Hairston’s name can now be added alongside such talented figures. Speaking of James Hall, Hairston was a member of his choir "James Hall and Worship & Praise" for many years before forming his own movement. Upon listening to him it is clear that he is an anointed vessel, who God has blessed with an ability to write. Expect lots more in the future!
